Take the Banking Information Security Today 2010 Survey
Are you and your customers better off today than you were a year ago?

This is the key question for banking/security leaders at the dawn of 2010. Emerging from a year in which financial institutions struggled with the economy, the Heartland Payment Systems breach and other attacks, as well as the ongoing challenges to attain regulatory compliance and retain customer confidence ... now is the time for leaders to invest in banking's future.

What are institutions' spending priorities?
How well equipped are they to defend against fraud?
What is the potential impact of regulatory reform on information security?
How will institutions invest in social networking and other new services?

These are among the questions to be explored in the Banking Information Security Today survey. Now in its third year, Banking Information Security Today, a web-based research study, was created by Information Security Media Group (ISMG) in 2007 with the counsel of banking and security leaders from across the U.S. The 2010 study explores how banking/security leaders are responding to today's key banking issues, including:

  • Economic recovery
  • Fraud prevention
  • Vendor Management
  • Regulatory Compliance
  • Emerging technologies
  • Social networking
  • Other relevant topics

Survey results will be presented in a variety of ways across BankInfoSecurity.com and CUInsoSecurity.com, including an executive summary, annotated report, podcast analyses and a live webinar in which survey respondents will be invited to listen to exclusive insight and analysis.

For the second straight year, survey results will debut at the RSA Conference, to be held in San Francisco beginning March 1. The survey session will be on Tues., March 2, starting at 2:30 p.m.

"Conducting this survey for the third time, we really get to see how banking and security concerns have evolved," says Tom Field, Editorial Director of ISMG. "In past years, our research has identified customer confidence, vendor management and education/awareness as key concerns long before subsequent news events put the spotlight on them. We expect this year's results to identify exactly the issues that matter most to banking/security leaders in 2010."
