Meet me at BAI in Boston
Quick heads-up to those of you who will be in the Boston area this week: The BAI Retail Delivery Conference & Expo starts Tuesday at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center. I'll be in attendance on Weds and Thurs, and I'd welcome the opportunity to meet you.
For those of you that don't know, this is among the major events for banking leaders. The Bank Administration Institute (BAI) has been around for more than 80 years, offering education and research to the banking industry. And this event is now in its 32nd year, presenting information and networking opportunities to those interested in banking's present and future.
I had the chance on Friday to speak with BAI President/CEO Debbie Bianucci about this year's event. Customer confidence is going to be a huge theme, as presenters and attendees discuss the economic upheaval of the past year and what needs to be done to reassure customers that their assets - both financial and informational - are safe. I also see some sessions on mobile banking and social networking that catch my eye, and former Vice President Al Gore will be on hand for a closing keynote on Thurs.
Again, if you're in Boston this week and have the opportunity to drop by the event, please do, and please say hello. I'll be there all day Weds and Thurs, and I'd welcome the chance to meet you. Drop me a note and let's see if we can connect.
And while on the topic of events, we got word late Friday that Information Security Media Group will once again be presenting at next year's RSA Conference. This is the Super Bowl of information security events, as you know, and it's an honor to be invited back to speak for a second consecutive year.
Start making plans now to attend RSA during the first week of March in San Francisco.
